SMOKE: Arizona/New Mexico/Plains/Ontario: Several wildfires burning from eastern Arizona into central New Mexico have produced a broad area of residual smoke that has drifted across New Mexico, into most of western Texas and reaching the Oklahoma border. Today those wildfires are producing light to moderately dense smoke within region. Also, an area of residual smoke is seen across parts of western/central Ontario. Mostly likely from earlier in the week when smoke was moving north - northeast across the Plains/Mississippi Valley and wrapping up in a low pressure system. Southern California: The wildfire west of Santa Barbara continues to produce a plume of remnant smoke that extends southeast and in/along coastal southern California and then south to near the Baja California border.
