THROUGH 1800Z July 12, 2016
Currently: Wyoming/Colorado/Central Plains: Multiple wildfires burning across eastern Wyoming and Colorado have been producing smoke the past few days, which is moving east into Nebraska. Heavy cloud coverage obscured the full extent of the smoke. Canada: Light density smoke is visible through Northwest Territories, Nunavut and in central Hudson Bay moving eastward into Quebec. Heavy cloud coverage obscured the full extent of the smoke. DUST: Western Gulf of Mexico into the southern Plains: A broad area of Saharan dust continues to be seen this evening across the western half of the Gulf of Mexico, including the entire Bay of Campeche. The dust then extends northward across much of central Texas and into central Kansas.
