THROUGH 1615Z September 2, 2016
SMOKE: Area from Idaho to the North Central US/South Central Canada: Numerous fires over Idaho, western and southwestern Montana, and northwestern Wyoming were responsible for a large area of smoke that extended from the Intermountain West through the Central/Northern Plains, South Central Canada, Upper Great Lakes and as far south as Oklahoma and Arkansas. Within this area, moderate density smoke plumes are visible from central Idaho to Montana and another patch from southern Manitoba/southwestern Ontario and as far south as Nebraska. The full extent of smoke is obscured due to cloud coverage in central US and southern Canada.
