SMOKE: Atlantic Ocean extending west into the Southeast.... The source of this smoke is the wildfire over far southern Georgia and fire activity over the Southeast over the past few days. Northern Plains.... An area of light density smoke from fire activity over the Northern Plains and South Central Canada, and even some contributions from fire activity over the Pacific Northwest, extended from northern Wisconsin, northern Minnesota and northeastern North Dakota west northwest through southwest Ontario and southern Manitoba. Upper Midwest to the Southern Plains.... An area of light density smoke extended from the upper Midwest near central Michigan and southern Wisconsin southwest through the Southern Plains to northern Texas. The source region of this smoke is believed to be a combination of fires over southern Canada and the Northern Plains along with fire activity over the Southern Plains and Mexico. Gulf of Mexico.... A large area of thin density smoke from fires in Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula extends from the northern Gulf of Mexico southwest to east and southeast Mexico.
