SMOKE ALASKA / NORTHERN CANADA: Numerous large fires located in Eastern Alaska and northern portions of the Yukon Territory are producing an extremely large area of light density smoke that continues to join and blanket remnant smoke over the state and the entire northern portion of Canada. Moderately dense smoke was observed to extend from the Yukon Territory and into the central Northwest Territories this evening. High density smoke was visible around the vicinity of the fires' origins. CANADA / NORTH-CENTRAL U.S.: Wildfires in south-central British Columbia continue to produce moderately dense smoke plumes that are carried towards the east and into western Saskatchewan. An area of remnant heavy density smoke was visible over central Alberta. Light density remnant smoke extends from Saskatchewan and stretches across the Northern Plains and into Middle Mississippi Valley. CALIFORNIA: The Wall fire located in Northern California is producing light to moderately dense smoke that extends towards the East, remaining in the state, this evening. Remnant smoke originating the Alamo fire located in Southern California is observed over southward and over the Channel Islands of California. The Alamo fire along with a second large fire located just southward are producing moderately dense smoke that has reached a high enough elevation to be carried directly North across the valley and overhead Yosemite National Park. -BOLL THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE.
