There are patches of moderately dense smoke over northern New York and across southern New England. Several areas of moderate to dense smoke were also seen near the wildfires in Oregon and northern California. The smoke also extended to the south southwest down and off the California coast. There was also an area of light to moderately dense smoke east of the Cascades in Washington associated with fires burning there. Canada.... The remnant smoke from the persistent wildfires of the past couple of weeks has moved to the east ahead of a large weather system. The smoke is now over the southeast half of Manitoba, all of Ontario and northern and southern Quebec. A large area of moderately dense smoke covered much of Hudson Bay.
