SMOKE: Southern California/Pacific Northwest... Large wildfires located in Ventura County and in southeastern Santa Barbara County continue to produce moderately dense to thick smoke which spread predominantly towards the west off the California coast and well out over the Pacific Ocean. Moderately dense smoke was seen over Monterey, CA. Over the Pacific the smoke generally thinned in density while traveling mostly towards the north along the coast. The thin density smoke covered western Oregon and extended into central Washington state while stretching farther north than Vancouver. Boll THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
