Wildfires continue to burn in central Utah (Trail Mountain fire in Emery County), southwest Colorado (Burro fire in La Plata County), and southern Wyoming (Badger fire in Carbon County). Moderate density smoke is being transported towards the northeast. Great Plains... Remnant smoke originating from wildfires in Utah, Wyoming and Colorado, in addition to agricultural fires in Kansas, northern Arkansas and southeast Missouri is seen covering a large area stretching from North Dakota to Arkansas, and from eastern Colorado to western Ohio. WS THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
