SMOKE:
Northern US/Southeast Canada...
A large amount of residual smoke was observed in this evening's
imagery. The smoke stretched from the wildfires in the Rocky Mountain
states to Southeast Canada and across Maine into the Atlantic.
California...
The Pawnee Fire located near west-central California continues to burn
with a large plume consisting of moderate density smoke near the source
and light-density smoke extending to the north along the Sacramento
Valley and into Oregon state.
Utah/Colorado/Nevada...
The Dollar Ridge Fire in northeast Utah continues to burn and during
the evening the smoke became thick and heavy traveling Northeast. The
Spring Creek and Weston Pass fires in central-south and central Colorado,
respectively, were active this morning releasing moderate-density smoke
plumes. Similar light wind conditions result in relatively little
developed smoke plumes dispersing towards the East-Northeast. Fires
in Northeast Nevada were observed producing heavy amounts of smoke
traveling Northeast.

THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS
OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME
DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE
FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING
DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED. USERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO
VIEW A GRAPHIC DEPICTION OF THESE AND OTHER PLUMES WHICH ARE LESS
EXTENSIVE AND STILL ATTACHED TO THE SOURCE FIRE IN VARIOUS GRAPHIC
