Ongoing wildfire activity throughout mainly British Columbia, Washington State, Oregon, Northern California, and northern Nevada was and has been producing very thick smoke. This smoke has spread out across much of Canada, the northern CONUS, and the Plains states. The densest smoke within this area extended from the wildfire activity across southwestern British Columbia across the Pacific and back onshore across the Pacific Northwest extending east across Idaho, Montana and the Dakotas and then south into western Nebraska, western Kansas, the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles into the Red River Valley. Dense smoke was also observed emanating from wildfire activity across the northern British Columbia/Yukon Border, northern Alberta, and northern Saskatchewan. Moderately dense smoke was observed as far east as the North Atlantic Ocean south of Greenland to near Iceland, with light smoke possibly reaching as far east as Europe.
