SMOKE:
Canada...
Wildfires continue to burn in western-central British Columbia
contributing to moderate density smoke that extends eastward over
southern Alberta and Saskatchewan. Further north light density smoke
can be observed covering central-eastern Northwest Territories, northern
Nunavut and northwest Hudson Bay.
Western U.S...
Wildfires in northern California and southwest Oregon are seen producing
thick plumes this afternoon and early evening, with the smoke moving
towards the south-southwest and along the Sacramento Valley reaching
San Francisco. Additional wildfires in central Washington, southern
Idaho and northeast Nevada show smoke plumes moving towards the east. An
elongated area consisting of light density smoke originated from western
fires is seen covering southern Wyoming, western-northern South Dakota,
southeast North Dakota and western Minnesota.
Bay of Campeche...
Smoke associated with on and off shore gas flaring and coastal fires is
seen spreading across the Bay of Campeche.

THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF
SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED
FROM
THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY
OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO
DESCRIBED. USERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VIEW A GRAPHIC DEPICTION OF THESE AND
OTHER PLUMES WHICH ARE LESS EXTENSIVE AND STILL ATTACHED TO THE SOURCE
FIRE
