SMOKE:
Northern and Central U.S. and Southeastern Canada...
A large area of very thin density leftover smoke from the Western
U.S. wildfires was noted covering a good portion of the Northern and
Central U.S. into Southeast Canada from Montana and Wyoming eastward to
the Great Lakes Region and southward from there over the Mid-Mississippi
Valley and Central and Southern Plains.
California...
The smoke from the Delta fire has shifted nearly due south this
morning. The smoke is traveling through the central parts of California
and was observed shifting Southeast as it moved further from the fire.

THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF
SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED
FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE.
TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE
ALSO DESCRIBED. USERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO VIEW A GRAPHIC DEPICTION OF THESE
AND OTHER PLUMES WHICH ARE LESS EXTENSIVE AND STILL ATTACHED TO THE SOURCE
FIRE IN VARIOUS GRAPHIC FORMATS ON OUR WEB SITE:
