The Pole Creek wildfire in central Utah along with the fires located in western Wyoming continue to produce heavy smoke this evening. The smoke is being transported towards the northeast and across the Upper Great Lakes, blanketing the north-central U.S. with light to medium dense smoke, before continuing eastward across New England and out over the North Atlantic. Areas of southern Ontario and southern Quebec are observing light density smoke. Northern California... The Delta Fire located in northern California continues to produce localized heavy density smoke. Light density smoke is observed to extend southward down the valley and also northward into Oregon. Arizona... Wildfires in central Arizona are releasing moderate to heavy-density smoke plumes. Light density smoke is carried eastward and spills into western New Mexico. Southeast U.S.... Agricultural fires were seen burning in the Lower Mississippi Valley and across the southeast. Individual smoke plumes were moving predominantly towards the east. Boll THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
