Wildfires in western Wyoming continue to burn producing moderate-to-heavy density smoke moving towards the southeast into Nebraska and Kansas. The wildfires in central Utah are producing a small, localized, light-density smoke plume. Northern California/Southwest Oregon... Residual smoke from diminishing wildfires can be seen originating in southwest Oregon extending moving towards the northeast. Lower mid-west/south-southeast... Numerous agricultural fires were observed during the morning and early afternoon hours along the mid and lower Mississippi Valley. Scattered fire activity was also seen in northern Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Due to cloud coverage, most of the smoke plumes produced from these fires were not visible. Rodriguez THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
