DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1900Z November 22, 2018.
SMOKE: California... Light remnant smoke from the Camp fire in Butte County and the Alder fire in Sequoia National Forest is seen this morning along the Sacramento and San Joaquin valleys, extending westward over the San Francisco Bay area. WS Earlier This Morning... SMOKE: California... An area of light to moderately dense smoke associated with the Alder wildfire in the Sequoia National Forest in Tulare County is moving north reaching the southern portion of the Sierra Mountain chain. Cloud cover across central/northern sections of the state are blocking the view of residual smoke that was moving north yesterday. Southern Florida... Numerous fires burning south of Lake Okochobee are producing an area of light smoke moving south across the southern sections of the Florida, but not reaching the coastline. J Kibler THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
