SMOKE: Other than a few localized mainly thin density smoke plumes primarily over portions of southern Georgia and Florida, no significant areas of smoke were visible in satellite imagery through the day. DUST: New Mexico/Texas/Northern Mexico... Strong southwest winds were kicking up swaths of blowing dust of varying density from numerous sources especially over the northern part of the Mexican state of Chihuahua. The dust spread to the northeast across portions of southern New Mexico and far western Texas including El Paso.
