SMOKE: Central Plains.... A large number of agricultural fires were observed across eastern Oklahoma, central-eastern Kansas, southern Missouri, and northern Arkansas. Smoke could hardly be seen due to cloud interference. Southeastern U.S... A significant amount of seasonal burning was also detected across the southeastern U.S. along with smoke plumes of thin density. Mexico/Central America... Numerous seasonal fires were observed over central-eastern-southern Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. While the majority of the smoke was light density, some of these smoke plumes were moderate in density. DUST: Arizona/New Mexico/Northern Mexico... Blowing dusts were seen in southeastern Arizona, White Sands National Monument in New Mexico, and in the northern end of the Mexican state Chihuahua.
