SMOKE: Middle and Lower Mississippi Valley... Numerous seasonal/agricultural type fires were detected especially over eastern Arkansas, south central Louisiana, and southern Mississippi which resulted in a number of thin to locally moderately dense smoke plumes. Some of these plumes then merged to form larger patches of smoke impacting these regions. Arizona... Fires to the south of Prescott in central Arizona and to the west and south of Show Low in east central Arizona produced smoke plumes of varying density which fanned out as they moved to the east during the day.
