DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1600Z November 7, 2019
SMOKE: Arizona and Utah... Two fires in Utah were seen producing light to moderate smoke this morning. This smoke was moving southwest into Arizona. A portion of the smoke is remnant from yesterday. Elsewhere... Across the southeastern US and much of western Canada, cloud cover is obscuring the ground, preventing the analysis of smoke in those locations. Fires have been analyzed across British Columbia and Alberta. As such, it is likely there is at least some smoke present beneath the cloud cover. Further fire activity is noted across the southeastern US, but cloud cover is present across much of the southeast outside of the Carolinas. Blowing dust: Far Southern Nevada... Blowing dust was observed moving southwest from south of Valley of Fire State Park across the Muddy Mountains and continuing to move towards Las Vegas.
