DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

SMOKE: Utah and Arizona... Fires in Piute County of south central Utah continued to produce moderate to heavy smoke towards the southeast this evening. There were various active fires in central Arizona producing moderate smoke plumes towards the south-southeast. Also, a plume of remnant smoke from these Arizona fires was seen moving south into the northern border of the Mexican state of Sonora. Southeast U.S.... Agricultural fires across the southeast U.S. were seen emitting individualized light smoke plumes towards the southwest. Rodriguez THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
