DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0200Z November 23, 2019
SMOKE: Northwestern U.S... Agricultural/prescribed burning was detected across portions of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and western Montana which resulted in a few patches of thin to locally moderately dense smoke. Southeastern U.S... Cloudiness spread over much of the South Central and Southeastern U.S. significantly limiting both fire and smoke detection in satellite imagery with the exception of Georgia and Florida where some thin density smoke was visible with a few of the seasonal type fires. JS THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
