DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

SMOKE: Southeast US/Louisiana... GOES16 Visible satellite imagery observed light density smoke progressing south and east from small complex fire activity observed in Southern Louisiana. Small fire activity and agricultural burning was observed as well in Eastern Texas, Southern Georgia, and Northern Florida this morning. South Florida... Agricultural burning was observed with small complex fire activity south of Lake Okeechobee. Light density smoke was observed from these fires progress south and east this morning. The Bahamas... Small complex fire activity was observed on Abaco Island in the Eastern Bahamas. Light density smoke was observed progressing eastward this morning. Mexico/Central America... Small fire activity was observed in Southern and Western Mexico as well as in Southern Guatemala. Light density smoke was observed in the region of these fires this morning. Sambucci THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
