THROUGH 0200Z January 25, 2020
SMOKE: Texas… Much of the smoke analyzed this afternoon and evening was located across Texas. About 2 dozen smoke plumes are noted in the analysis with movement consistent with a high pressure center located just north of San Antonio that moved east throughout the afternoon. Smoke was moving toward the west across southern Texas, south near Victoria, TX, and towards the north and east across central Texas. Cuba… Many fires and smoke plumes were noted across Cuba today, especially across southern Cuba. The smoke from these fires was seen moving southwest off the southern coast. Eastern Honduras… In the Honduran region of Gracias a Dios, a couple fires were noted emitting smoke that was moving south and southeastward. Of note was a single fire in the lagoons of the near coastal region that was producing quite a bit of moderate smoke extending across the border into far northeastern Nicaragua and across the Cayos Miskitos. -Hosley THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE.
