DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

SMOKE: Texas and southern Central Plains… Fires throughout Texas were emitting light smoke plumes that were heading in all directions. Fires in Oklahoma and Arkansas were also emitting light plumes but were moving southeast towards southeast U.S. Southeast US… Fires stretching from Louisiana eastward through southern Florida were emitting light density smoke plumes that headed towards the east and then split towards the NE towards the Carolinas and SE off the both coasts of FL. Rodriguez THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
