DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

SMOKE: Manitoba... A couple of small light density plumes moving off to the east-southeast are detected over the southern part of the province. Arizona… The Sawtooth Wildfire continues in the Superstition Wilderness. A small light density plume is detected moving to the southeast. Mexico... A large light density plume from seasonal fires persists along the southwest Pacific coastal region. Konon THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
