DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0150Z January 29, 2021
SMOKE: Southeastern U.S, Cuba, Southeastern Texas... Across the Southeastern U.S. and in Cuba numerous light density smoke plumes with areas of moderate density smoke near the sources due to seasonal burning were observed with the smoke generally moving in a southwesterly direction. In Southeastern Texas a few light density smoke plumes with large areas of moderate density smoke near the sources due to seasonal burning were observed with the smoke moving westerly in direction. Eglin THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
