THROUGH 0130Z June 7, 2021
SMOKE: Southeastern Arizona, Texas, Western New Mexico... The Mescal and Telegraph wildfire complexes in Southeastern Arizona and the Doagy Fire in western New Mexico were emitting large amounts of light to heavy density smoke progressing northeast into New Mexico and then the plumes combine as they are swept southeast extending through most of Texas ending near the Gulf of Mexico. Utah, Wyoming, Idaho... In northern and central Utah two light to heavy density smoke plumes attributed to wildfires were moderate moving northeast into southern Idaho in the north and Wyoming. Manitoba, Saskatchewan... In southern Saskatchewan and central Manitoba two light to moderate density smoke plumes attributed to wildfires were observed through the clouds moving east. Gulf of Mexico/Mexico/Central America/Pacific south of Mexico... A large area of light to moderate density smoke remains in the area covering much of northern/southern/central Mexico, Central America, a portion of the Pacific south of Mexico, the western Gulf of Mexico, up to Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico. Embedded patches of moderate to heavy density smoke were visible in association with some of the more active fires especially in Mexico, and along the coasts. This area of smoke was due mainly to the ongoing seasonal fires in Mexico, Central America, and the Mescal and Telegraph wildfire complexes in Southeastern Arizona.
