SMOKE: Most of the United States and Canada... Fires ongoing over the western United States and southern British Columbia were producing a large area of smoke that was covering most of the United States, except for portions of the Southern Plains and Southwestern States, and also over much of Canada. The highest density smoke was extending from southern Ontario, through the Northern Plains, northern Rockies and into Pacific Northwest and northern California. Further to the north, mostly light density smoke was observed over central and northern Canada from fire activity over western and northwest Canada. DUST: Atlantic/Caribbean… A large area of Saharan Dust was seen over much of the Tropical Atlantic Ocean and extending west through the Caribbean Sean and southeastern Gulf of Mexico and then extending northeast through Florida and then offshore the East Coast of the United States.
