DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 0211Z November 18, 2021
SMOKE: South Central and Southeastern U.S.... Moderate agricultural burning activity could be seen across the South Central and Southeastern U.S. resulting in numerous plumes of smoke that are mainly light in density with some having moderate density smoke near their sources, most of the plumbs were located in Alabama. A larger area of light density smoke was observed over the southeastern U.S. stretching from and Alabama in the southwest to Virginia in the northeast. Central Louisiana... A Wildfire in central Louisiana was emitting light to heavy density smoke which was moving northeast in direction. Arizona... Two Wildfires were observed in northern Arizona and they were responsible for two plumbs of light to moderate density smoke that was moving generaly east in direction. Central California... A Wildfire in central California was emitting light to moderate density smoke which was moving generally north in direction. Utah... A Wildfire in southern Utah was emitting light to moderate density smoke which was moving generally south in direction. Eglin THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS PRIMARILY INTENDED TO DESCRIBE SIGNIFICANT AREAS OF SMOKE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES AND SMOKE WHICH HAS BECOME DETACHED FROM THE FIRES AND DRIFTED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SOURCE FIRE. TYPICALLY OVER THE COURSE OF ONE OR MORE DAYS. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST ARE ALSO DESCRIBED.
