A patch of moderate smoke was observed within this area, extending across eastern Washington, northern Idaho, and parts of Montana. Eastern United States/Atlantic Ocean/Gulf of Mexico... Light smoke was visible covering a large expanse including the Midwestern U.S., the Mississippi Valley , northern Gulf of Mexico, and areas to the east with the exception of central-southern Florida. The light smoke was observed extending further east into the Atlantic Ocean, several hundred miles south of St. Pierre and Miquelon. A larger area of medium density remnant smoke extended from the Florida Panhandle, to areas east of the Appalachian mountains all the way to Cape Code, and further to the east off the Mid-Atlantic coastline.
