SMOKE: Northwestern United States and Western and Central Canada… A large area of light to localized moderate and high density smoke, from the numerous fires ongoing over the northwestern United States and western Canada, was extending across portions of the Northwestern and North Central United States and most of central and portions of western Canada. Within this area, several areas of moderate density were seen with those being an area extending from the ongoing fires over Washington and southern British Columbia east and northeast through Idaho, western Montana and into southern Alberta and another area from the fires over the southern Northwest Territories extending east through the southern Northwest Territories. Other areas of moderate to high density smoke were seen closer to the ongoing fires over areas of Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. South Central and Southeastern U.S… Light density smoke was seen across a larger area that included most of the southern states from Texas to Virginia, and extending further to the south over the northern Gulf of Mexico and to the east over the Atlantic ocean off the Southeastern United States coastline. This area of smoke is due to the numerous ongoing fires across much of the Southeastern United States and into the Southern Plains. An area of moderate density smoke was seen over portions of western Tennessee, northeastern Arkansas and southeastern Missouri.
