SMOKE/AEROSOL: Gulf of Mexico, Mexico and the Pacific Ocean off the Southern Coast of Mexico and Northwest Central America… A large area of thin density smoke and aerosol mix could be seen this morning over much of the Gulf of Mexico, eastern coastal Mexico, southern Mexico, western coastal Mexico and extending offshore into the eastern Pacific Ocean. The smoke and aerosol mixture was likely due to industrial activities in Mexico and northwestern Central America along with some seasonal burning in those regions as well.
