During the GINI CIP activation, all operational GINI imagery products (L1 and L2 Derived Product Imagery) will be produced at the Wallops GINI CIP site, transmitted to the Back-up Network Control Facility (BNCF),Fairmont, WV, and then rebroadcast live by the NWS through NOAAPort to support operational NWS AWIPS field sites and other NOAAPort users. For the six hour test period on April 26, GRIB and BUFR products will not be available on AWIPS. These products include: - GOES Winds - MTSAT Winds - ASCAT Winds - Hydro-Estimator - Manual IFFA - GOES Sounder SFOV Moisture and Temperature Profiles - POES Soundings. At 2000 UTC, April 26, 2012, NESDIS will switch back to its primary GINI AWIPS production system at ESPC,Suitland,MD, and route the operational AWIPS products directly to the ANCF,Silver Spring,MD, and then through NOAAPort, the standard operational transmission method.
