GEONETCast Americas is carried on an
Intelsat IS-9 transponder. GEONETCast Americas will be out for 12 to
24 hours from the anomaly time of 08:20 am this morning. The Intelsat
IS9 spacecraft was undergoing a maneuver when it lost earth lock and
began spinning. The outage began at 08:20 EDT or 12:20 UTC. Intelsat
expects a full recovery between 12 and 24 hours from anomaly time. All
files should eventually be disseminated.
