Navigation location for GOES-14 is found within WMO header TBUS09 and is located roughly at 105 degrees West. GOES-14 Normal Mode Activities and Operations include the following: Month/Day - Activity * 08/15 to 10/31 - GOES Stray Light testing will occur from 04:45 UTC to 09:14 UTC daily. There will be no SRSOR (Super Rapid Scan Operations) imaging during this time; * 08/21 - Annual North/South maneuver following with needed East/West maneuvers to keep GOES-14 in the station box. PLEASE NOTE: No SRSOR (Super Rapid Scan Operations) requests for ~8hrs following the maneuver; * 08/16 to 08/30 - Support GOES-R SRSO (Super Rapid Scan Operations) testing. * 08/16 to 10/31 - Default schedules: new day starts at 0134 UTC ** 08/16 - 09/04 East Routine ** 09/05 - 09/18 East Rapid ** 09/19 - 09/25 East Full Disk ** 09/26 - 10/31 East Routine * 08/15 to 08/29 - SXI EEPROM burn, outgassing and test images (2 weeks); * 08/30 to 10/15 - Fall Eclipse operations; GOES-14 will provide backup SXI and XRS data for NCEP's SWPC during GOES-15 eclipses; * 10/16 to 10/30 Provide primary SXI and XRS data for NCEP's SWPC during GOES-15 SXI outgassing. * 10/31 - Return to storage mode Please note: The GOES-14 SRSOR (Super Rapid Scan Operations) schedule will be generated daily in addition to the default schedule. A minimum of 2 hours notice is required for requesting SRSOR implementation. All GOES-East and -West operations as well as any Health and Safety concerns take precedence over SRSOR schedule transitions.
