Details/Specifics of Change: GOES-15 (GOES-West) will be performing a Yaw Flip Maneuver for one hour on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 2030 UTC through 2129 UTC. A recovery period will follow immediately and last until Friday, March 22, 2013 at 0044 UTC. During the recovery period, routine Imager and Sounder scans will be performed; however, the navigation may still be out of specifications until the end of the recovery period. If NWS Regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301) 683-1500 at least 6 hours prior to the maneuver time. The backup date for this maneuver is Thursday, March 21, 2013. GOES-13 (GOES-East) will perform Full Disk coverage from 2015-2144 UTC on March 20, 2013. The GOES-East Full Disk coverage is subject to change should NWS call for Rapid Scans to support severe weather. On March 21, 2013 0800-1100 UTC, the following images and soundings will be shortened or replaced due to navigation constraints during eclipse.
