Length of Outage: N/A Details/Specifics of Change: On April 5, 2013, SOCC Engineers will change the GOES-12 (GOES-South America) Imager and Sounder patch temperatures from their LOW set points (90.9 K and 88.5 K respectively) to their MID set-points (98.9 K and 98.3 K) at about 0325 UTC. The change will be done prior to eclipse to minimize the impact on users. The temperature transition will take approximately 45 minutes during eclipse. The patch will be controlled at this temperature (98.9 K and 98.3 K) until September 2013 when it will be switched back to LOW settings during the next eclipse/KOZ season. MBCC (Midnight Blackbody Calibration Correction) will also be turned off for the imager at the time of the patch temp change and will be turned back on approximately two days later.
