LRIT imagery and the copy the GOES Data Collection Service will be
available during the outage. The only affected part of the LRIT
broadcast will be the loss of the copy of EMWIN.

West.
*Details/Specifics of Change: * The ESPC plans to failover to the
Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) site on April 16th in support
of ESPC CIP Testing. Currently, there is no connection from the NWS
EMWIN system into the CIP facility. NOAA is working to facilitate this
connection in the near future.
The purpose of the exercise is to validate the ability to failover the
ESPC network to the CIP system and the ability to switchback the ESPC
network to the NSOF facility after an approximately six (6) hour
duration.
The Facility Backup Exercise will begin at 8:30am EST and products
should begin distributing from the CIP system by 9:00am EST.
The CIP site, at Wallops Island, VA will be the operational ESPC system
for a total of eight (8) hours.
Network Failover to ESPC/CIP: 1 hour
Product Distribution/Network Sustainability: 6 hours
Network switchback to ESPC/NSOF: 1 hour
During the Failover Test, normal problem reporting can be performed
utilizing the ESPC Help Desk, at 301-817-3880.
