LRIT imagery will be available during the outage. The affected part of the LRIT broadcast will be the loss of the copy of EMWIN and the copy of GOES Data Collection Service (GOES-DCS). *Date/Time Issued:* April 15, 2013: 1455 UTC *Date/Time of Initial Impact*: April 16, 2013: 8:30 local (1230 UTC) *Date/Time of Expected End:* April 16, 2013: 2:00 local (1900 UTC) *Length of Event:* ~ 6.5 hrs *Product(s) or Data Impacted*: The copy of EMWIN and the copy of GOES DCS on LRIT East and LRIT West. *Details/Specifics of Change:* The ESPC has failed over to the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) site on April 16th in support of ESPC CIP Testing. Currently, there is no connection from the NWS EMWIN system or the GOES DCS system into the CIP facility. NOAA is working to restore the DCS connection as soon as possible. The EMWIN connection will not be available until the end of the exercize. The purpose of the exercise is to validate the ability to failover the ESPC network to the CIP system and the ability to switchback the ESPC network to the NSOF facility after an approximately six (6) hour duration. The Facility Backup Exercise will begin at 8:30am EST and products should begin distributing from the CIP system by 9:00am EST. The CIP site, at Wallops Island, VA will be the operational ESPC system for a total of eight (8) hours.
