The testing will end at 1700 UTC on August 14, 2013. The purpose of the EOL testing is to better understand the Filter Wheel's dual winding operation and the optimal way to operate GOES N-P in dual winding operation. GOES-12 users may lose Sounder data while the Sounder filter wheel windings are being turned off and then turned on. GOES-12 Sounder data may be stopped permanently if both windings fail to restart. GOES-12 Imager data will not be impacted during the Sounder EOL testing period. GOES-12 Sounder electronics are scheduled to be turned off at 1100 UTC on August 13, 2013, which will be the conclusion of all data products from the GOES-12 Sounder. The GOES-12 Imager data will be turned off at approximately 0000 UTC on August 16, 2013. GOES-12 de-orbit maneuvers are scheduled at 0100z and 1300z on August 16, 2013. *Contact Information for Further Information: *ESPC Operations at ESPCOperations@noaa.gov and 301-817-3880. ** *Web Site(s) for applicable information:* N/A This message was sent by ESPC.Notification@noaa.gov.
