NOAA/NESDIS will make the 2km Southern Hemisphere Automated Snow
and Ice
Cover Product (SH-ASI) Multisensor data products operationally
available
to its users from the Environmental Satellite Processing Center (ESPC).
Data formats for distribution include GRIB2, Geotiff, and BIN. The
current 4km SH-ASI Cover Product will continue generating and
distributing in the same formats, but is slated for retirement. A
retirement announcement for 4km SH-ASI Cover will also be posted via
ESPC Operational on August 6th, 2013 with a 90 day period to allow
users
to prepare for the retirement. The 2 km products will be made available
from its website
(http://satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov/asi_multisensor.html), the
Satepsdistribution servers and Data Distribution System (DDS) starting
on August 7, 2013.
