Subject: Administrative: Jason-2 - OGDR Product Latency, Issued: This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------040100040705050901070709 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit *Topic:* Jason-2 - OGDR Product Latency *Date Issued:* September 21, 2013 0145 UTC *Product(s) or Data Impacted:* Jason-2 Operational Geophysical Data Records (OGDRs) *Date/Time of Initial Impact: *19 September-2013 14:00 UTC *Date/Time of Expected End:* 20 September-2013 17:40 UTC ** *Length of Event:* 27 hrs 40 min *Details/Specifics of Change:* At approximately 14:00 UTC September 19, 2013, the Satellite Operations Command and Control (SOCC) failed over from processing string 'D' to processing string 'C' to complete security patching requirements. Following this failover, string 'C' became unstable resulting in a number passes having to be redumped with subsequent additional latency in the OGDRs. At 17:40 UTC September 20, SOCC failed back to processing string 'D. Jason-2 operations are now nominal. The ground anomaly is being investigated by Engineering to restore redundancy to the Jason-2 ground system. *C**ontact Information for Further Information:* David Donahue Satellite Products and Services Division NOAA/NESDIS/OSPO 301-683-3236 David.R.Donahue@noaa.gov ESPC Operations at ESPCOperations@noaa.gov and 301-817-3880 Web Site(s)for applicable information: N/A You have been sent this and other notifications because you have opted in to receive it.
