GENERIC SERVICE INFORMATION
The EUMETCast Europe service will be upgraded from DVB-S to the DVB-S2
standard in August 2014.

Meteosat Straylight.
During eclipse seasons, stray light affects the way the spacecraft
instrument is commanded. There are periods where the black body
calibration is performed after the instrument retrace instead
of prior to it. This delays files for the time of the calibration
(approximately three minutes) which then affects the data timeliness
in the same way. This nominal calibration activity during eclipse
seasons will therefore cause periods of noticeable delays to reception
of data by Users.
Meteosat Straylight Predictions for
Autumn/Winter 2013 are available on EUMETSAT

This new software version will improve the navigation accuracy and will
provide a better compatibility between regional and global products.

During this time, no updates are made to the Data Centre online
catalogue and no orders will be processed.
THIRD-PARTY DATA AND PRODUCTS
Resumption of delivery of previously halted VITO-provided products
The Copernicus Global Land service and related efforts have resumed
the production and EUMETCast delivery of the products (LAI, FCOVER,
Albedo) that were previously halted due to the lapse in US government
funding and input data. The missing data for the first 10 days of
October has been caught up and delivered.

JMA will switch operations from MTSAT-2 to MTSAT-1R due to ground
segment maintenance.
MTSAT-1R image data labelled as MTSAT-2 and rectified to 145 degree
East will be disseminated.
Operations will be switched back to MTSAT-2 on 19 December 2013.

MicroWave Radiation Imager (MWRI) data from FY-3B available via
EUMETCast-Europe
Access to these data are restricted to the NMSs of EUMETSAT's Member
and Cooperating States.

OGDR, OGDR-SSHA and OGDR-BUFR products may be degraded for 2 hours
after the manoeuvre. This will affect the sea surface height, but
not the wind and wave content in the products.

Metop-B - Out-of-plane manoeuvre
All products from AMSU-A, ASCAT, ATOVS, GOME-2, GRAS, IASI, MHS,

will not be available.
The AVHRR GDS Level 1 products and AVHRR regional data from Metop-B
will be temporarily degraded.
A touch-up in-plane manoeuvre may be performed two days later. This
will be confirmed in due time.
