This extension is caused by the outage of more than one month for the new Okeanos OPS service since July 15 as well as by the lost time of three weeks by the government shutdown. It is also important to note that the new ftp site (ftp://cw-okeanos.noaa.gov/pub/) which is provided through the new Okeanos OPS is accessible now for your test and verification, which will eventually replace the ftp://ftpoceanwatch.noaa.gov/ when the old OPS is retired. At the new ftp site, all products since Sept. 13rd, 2013 equivalent to the above old ftp, are available for your acquisition. In addition, MODIS/Aqua chlorophyll frontal and Ehux products are also available there. Please verify your access to the new ftp site at your earliest convenience although we allow you to have 45 days prior to the actual retirement date in order to verify the access and products there. If you have any questions in accessing to the new ftp site, please contact with our system programmers, Ian Simpson (ian.simpson@noaa.gov ) or Edmond Rodriguez (edmond.rodriguez@noaa.gov ). Also feel free to contact with Banghua Yan with your questions. Several important dates are highlighted as follows. * The old Okeanos OPS ftp server (ftp://ftpoceanwatch.noaa.gov/) will be retired on December 18, 2013. * The old Okeanos OPS ftp server will be replaced by the new ftp server (ftp://cw-okeanos.noaa.gov/pub/), which is accessible now. * Please test your access to the new server prior to Dec 18 so you're prepared for the retirement of the old system. *Contact Information for Further Information:*ESPC Operations at ESPCOperations@noaa.gov at 301-817-3880 and/or Banghua.Yan@noaa.gov.** *Web Site(s) for applicable information:*N/A This message was sent from ESPC.Notification@noaa.gov .
