As a result, there are upcoming changes to the NCEP model data that ESPC distributes. This will be happening in two phases: Dec 10, 2013, and Jan 7, 2014. On Dec 10: 1. NCEP will stop sending GRIB1 data to the DDS. These are the file patterns that will be affected: gdas1.tCCz.pgrbf?? and gfs.tCCz.pgrf??. GRIB2 version of these files are available. Please contact the DDS Administrator if you are not yet receiving the replacement products you need. 2. ESPC will also decommission the following McIDAS model groups that are either no longer needed by NESDIS operations, or are no longer being updated: MOD/AWIP, MOD/EDAS, MOD/GESG, MOD/ECG, MOD/NGM, MOD/RUC, MOD/MRFG.
