At 18:04:57 UTC (AOS SVL 11781) controllers reported multiple VIIRS and 1394 bus alarms to engineers. During the back orbit engineering verified the state of the VIIRS instrument and began preparations for recovery. The VIIRS Petulant Mode recovery was executed during SVL 11782, 11783, and 11784. Science data resumed at 21:35:02 but may be degraded for multiple orbits due to temperature variations. All VIIRS DNB data will be degraded prior to SVL 11784 when the VIIRS DNB tables were loaded. *Update #1* SOCC has begun the recovery procedure and we have power cycled VIIRS.The VIIRS instrument is currently in safe mode and we will continue to bring it up to ops mode. On 2014-02-04 at  17:37 UTC VIIRS stopped outputting
    science data.

At 18:04:57 UTC (AOS SVL 11781) controllers reported multiple VIIRS
and 1394 bus alarms to engineers. During the back orbit engineering
verified the state of the VIIRS instrument and began preparations
for recovery.

The VIIRS Petulant Mode recovery was executed during SVL 11782, 11783,
and 11784. Science data resumed at 21:35:02 but may be degraded for
