Details/Specifics of Change: GOES-15 (GOES-West) will be performing a Yaw Flip Maneuver for one hour on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 2030 UTC through 2129 UTC. A recovery period will follow immediately and last until Thursday, March 22, 2014 at 0044 UTC. During the recovery period, routine imager and sounder scans will be performed; however, the navigation may still be out of specifications until the end of the recovery period. If NWS Regions have any operational concerns, please contact the NCEP SDM (301) 683-1500 at least 6 hours prior to the maneuver time. There is no backup date for the Yaw Flip. GOES-13 (GOES-East) will perform Full Disk coverage from 2015-2144 UTC on March 20, 2014. The GOES-East Full Disk coverage is subject to change should NWS call for Rapid Scans to support Critical Weather Status. On March 21, 2014 0800-1100 UTC, the following images and soundings will be shortened or replaced due to navigation constraints during eclipse.
