Date/Time of Initial Impact: May 28, 2014 1230 UTC Date/Time of Expected End: May 28, 20141930 UTC Length of Event: Approximately 7 hours Details/Specifics of Change: The ESPC plans to failover to the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) site on May 28th, 2014 in support of the ESPC CIP Contingency Exercise. Planned ESPC CIP Contingency/COOP Exercise will not be done on a Critical Weather Day, or if there are other significant operational issues warranting postponement. This planned exercise will be postponed if a Critical Weather Day is declared on May 28, 2014. The purpose of the exercise is to validate the ability to failover the ESPC network to the CIP system and the ability to switchback the ESPC network to the NSOF facility after an approximately seven (7) hours duration. This test will be transparent to ESPC users, with the exception of pre-determined non-critical/non-funded products not being available during the test. See link below for products available/not available during the exercise. The ESPC/CIP Contingency Exercise will begin at 1230 UTC (8:30am EDT) and products should begin distributing from the CIP system by 1330 UTC (9:30 am EDT). The CIP site, at Wallops Island, VA will be the operational ESPC system for a total of seven (7) hours.
