The first command executed on 2014/06/12 15:01:39.000; the command was to transition VIIRS to Op-Night mode. When that command was executed, VIIRS returned an error VRCPLASTEVWD, which specifies that an invalid stored command was attempting to be executed. The command was executed and VIIRS transitioned to Op-Night and a yellow alarm was triggered on the following contact. Investigating the yellow alarm, is was determined that no further commands are being executed from the VIIRS DAS; thus the instrument remained in Op-Night mode from 2014/06/12 15:01:39.000 on. During contact SVL 13598 at 2014/06/12 19:52:30, VIIRS was ground commanded to Op-Day mode. It is expected that VIIRS will remain in Op-Day mode until a new DAS is uploaded and executing nominally. Investigation and recovery is on-going. Further updates will be forthcoming.
