Subject: Product Outage/Anomaly, UPDATE #4: Significant connectivity --001a1138140080518504fbcdb4ae Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 UPDATE #4 The anomaly remains ongoing but is showing signs of resolution. The NOAA Satellite Operations Facility (NSOF) GINI capability is functioning. GINI AWIPS East and West were failed back from WCDAS to the NSOF at 1535 UTC. The first images from NSOF will be 1545 UTC on the East and 1530 UTC on the West. UPDATE #3 The anomaly remains ongoing but is showing signs of resolution. UPDATE #2 The anomaly remains ongoing, and the root cause for the outage is still being investigated. The Environmental Satellite Processing Center (ESPC) has power, and work is continuing to bring systems back up. GINI is currently running operationally at the Wallops Command and Data Acquisition Station (WCDAS) in Wallops, VA. LRIT is now being uplinked from the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) feed to the WCDAS, and is currently up. Approved users, including Data Distribution Server (DDS) "pull users", will have an option to pull data from the WCDAS CIP using a different set of IP addresses than ESPC at the NSOF. UPDATE #1: The outage continues; however, GOES Ingest and NOAAPORT Interface (GINI) AWIPS East and West Data were switched to backup systems and are operational. Operational AWIPS products, including Level 2 AWIPS products - GOES LCB, Blended TPW and RR, and the AWIPS composite, are being produced and disseminated. Topic: Significant connectivity issue affecting ESPC Data Center Date/Time: June 14, 2014 1546 UTC Product(s) or Data Impacted: Wide range of applications and associated end-products, including webpages are impacted by this outage. Date/Time of Initial Impact: June 14, 2014 0330 UTC Date/Time of Expected End: Unknown Length of Outage: Ongoing Details/Specifics of Change: At approximately 0330 UTC on June 14, 2014, the Environmental Satellite Processing Center (ESPC) experienced an unknown network connectivity issue, and unable to send or receive products and/or data. Wide range of applications and associated end-products, including webpages are impacted by this outage. GOES Ingest and NOAAPORT Interface (GINI) AWIPS East and West are operational. GINI AWIPS East and West were failed back from WCDAS to the NSOF. Operational AWIPS products, including Level 2 AWIPS products - GOES LCB, Blended TPW and RR, and the AWIPS composite are being produced and disseminated. GINI is currently running operationally at NOAA Satellite Operations Facility (NSOF) starting with 1545 UTC on the East and 1530 UTC on the West. We have not yet failed back LRIT from WCDAS to NSOF. LRIT is still being uplinked from the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) feed to the Wallops Command and Data Acquisition Station (WCDAS), and is currently up. The anomaly remains ongoing, and the root cause for the outage is still being investigated. The emergency personnel have been recalled and are in the process of bringing systems back up.
